Second Home Hostel - Istanbul

Close to everything-right in the heart of the old city. Walking distance to all the main attractions. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Cons: Not obvious to find.

We were impressed by the hostel's location near the historic center, making it convenient to visit popular tourist attractions such as Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Public transport options were readily available, with a metro station just across the street and the tram a short walk away. The room and bathroom were clean and spacious, providing a comfortable stay for our group of friends.

Conveniently located, helpful staff, and a lively atmosphere. It's like having a picnic in a reception hall with carbon monoxide detectors and a first aid kit - what more could you ask for?

Mold in the corners was such a delightful surprise, like a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered.

The staff was incredibly friendly and always willing to help. They recommended and organized day trips on short notice, which was very convenient. the rooftop hangout area had amazing views of the city and was the perfect spot to relax with a drink in the evening. the location was excellent, just a short distance from major attractions and close to public transportation. the staff, views, and location were top-notch.

One small downside was that the rooms could be a bit cramped and lacked sufficient storage space. the breakfast options were somewhat limited compared to other hostels I've stayed at.

Clean and tidy family-run hostel with friendly and helpful staff. Good location near tram, Marmaray, and railway stations. Wi-Fi is reliable and they provide hand soap and toilet paper. Nice rooftop terrace. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

A good stay! We were kinda surprised by the warm and friendly atmosphere at Second Home. The staff were pretty good too ensure our stay was nice. The location was convenient and close to everything. We appreciated the cleanliness and the fact that there was always ample supply of hand soap and toilet paper. The wifi worked well, a rarity in most hostels. Despite a few minor drawbacks such as the lack of heating and tiny rooms, we enjoyed our time here. I highly recommend Second Home for a wonderful stay!
